Where did the summer go? The 5 Ponds gang bid a fond farewell to our Tuesday night league on August 26. For some final frivolity, we played a 3-club tournament. Somehow many of our scores seem to come out the same not matter how many clubs we use! There were prizes for all in the clubhouse afterwards. The ringer board prize for the season went to Susan Horton for her fabulously low scores on both front and back nine.
We hope to see most of you at the closing event on September 20 at Hickory Valley. We also have the weekend outing in the Poconos on October 18 & 19. The EWGA board is already hard at work thinking up events for next season. One you don't want to miss is the day of "virtual" golf at Play Around Golf on November 15. Becky Dengler, named one of the 50 top teachers in the country by the LPGA, will be on hand to give mini-lessons and clinics to all who attend. Go to the home page for more info.

Here are some Photos from OUR beautiful closing evening august 26.
I'm sad to say the season for league play is over. However, we do have a few more events for the year. Don't forget to sign up for the day of Virtual Golf at Play a Round in Malvern on Saturday, November 15.
Also, save the dates for the EWGA Annual Conference in Palm Springs, CA. It sounds like a great time. Get the details at www.ewga.com. I have stayed at the resort and it is beautiful. I have also played at 3 of the 4 courses listed. All are great!

It has been hot as blazes in South Jersey as everywhere else. Monday night we had a great showing of about 10 golfers who braved the heat and fought off the biting blackhead flies!
Congrats to Patti on earning her Birdie Pin. She birdied the 13th hole over water too!
Pictures are coming, hopefully soon!
