At this time of year, we are preparing for the upcoming golf season. Soon, you will be seeing information for registering for the our annual Tee Off  event. Please, save the date, March 24th. We will be at Talamore CC again this year. NINE Holes of golf and lessons will be available again, weather permitting. Stay tuned for details. 
 
Welcome to the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of EWGA. Our chapter was founded in 1995. Since then we have grown to almost 300 members. We have 9-hole after work league sites in 4 different locations as well as a Traveling Match Play league. We also have monthly outings, the most popular of which is the Summer Sizzler at the Jersey shore. All outings give you the opportunity to compete or not compete; your choice. We welcome golfers of all abilities. Educational opportunities are made available at various times of the year, so keep checking back on the website as it will be updated on a regular basis. Some of us like to use golf as a business tool. Some of us just play for fun, relaxation and socialization. Whatever your reason is, what we have in common is that we love to golf and have fun. So come join us and make new friends along the way.

The EWGA is a national organization of amateur women golfers, headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. With more than 20,000 members, EWGA offers opportunities for women to learn, play, and enjoy the game of golf for business and for life. EWGA chapters are located in 40 states and in several international countries, so you can quickly find friends wherever you go! Many of our members say they owe their lasting friendships to EWGA.

In addition to regular league play, EWGA sponsors an annual championship for those who want to test their skills in competition. Players begin at the local level, competing against others at their own skill level. Winners rise through sectional events to the final national championship.

To participate in our leagues, you must be a member of EWGA. Guests are welcome to "try us out," by playing twice with one of our leagues before joining.

There are three membership levels:

• Young Professional: 18 - 30 years old; receive discounted membership
• Classic Membership: Entitles you to participate in Chapter  leagues and attend EWGA outings at the EWGA member rate. All benefits of regular membership apply.
• Executive Distinction Membership: Includes all the benefits of classic membership plus exclusive EWGA On -Course invitation-only golf events at elite venues and five-star golf resorts.
• Senior Membership: 65+ years old; receive discounted membership.

 On January 29, 2012, several members donned their finest and ventured into center city for a lovely High Tea at the Rittenhouse Hotel. All the sandwiches, tiny quiches and desserts were absolutely delicious! Caroline Brinker was the lucky winner of the very special porcelain tea cup with saucer, lid and tea strainer. Now she can brew her very own special blends of tea.
